Pastry Chef David Benton is a self-taught pastry chef who stumbled upon baking in a random culinary class while trying to be a chef and never forgot the impact it made on him. With only youtube tutorials and baking books to guide him, David spent the next 2 years perfecting recipes and teaching himself the art of baking and designing. Baking quickly became a serious passion and a real source of fun for David. Sugarsweet Cookie + Cake Studio started off simply as a project to keep him baking in-between jobs, but through word of mouth, Sugarsweet has become a popular spot for beautiful and delicious sweet treats.
Colorful and playful with modern pop culture touches are his design trademarks. His influences are past & present leaders in fashion, music and film. A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE CHEF
" It started at home…. smelling my grandmother’s fresh baked bread every weekend, my mother’s French Canadian Meat Pies, Cretons spread on homemade bread for breakfast, crepes with melting butter and brown sugar, warm cinnamon coffee cake at least once a week after learning it in Home Economics in 6th grade….it all was my love affair with food and the experiences of it. I went into the private service industry and learned about serving, planning, management, social functions, etc. that centered around the family. While working for families in their homes I got opportunities to work all aspects of food preparation.My desire to attend school in the culinary arts field has been a dream of mine. Now is the right time to strengthen my knowledge of French Cooking and learn the restaurant environment. Since attending school I have found many avenues to fulfill my dreams and desires in the food industry.It started at home………and will continue to take me anywhere in the world."

The History of DayoSense
DayoSense started off with a dream or more so, a feeling of necessity in the heart of Chef Dayo ("Dah-yo") Jones. Chef Dayo was born and raised in Seattle, Washington surrounded by her large Seattle-based family and a plethora of lifelong friends. Life was always filled with support, fun, laughter and of course, holidays were filled with great family cooks parading their famous dishes. Platters of soul food filled the tables with color and the aroma filled everyone’s noses with warmth and peacefulness.
As she got older she started noticing the emotional impact that people have when they don’t have the feeling of family around them. She had empathy for those fellow schoolmates, sorority sisters, and church members whose moms and dads were out of state. Chef Dayo tried her best to invite as many “transplants” (people who moved to Seattle for school or a job) to her family’s dinners and picnics to cheer them up.
Chef Dayo definitely has a love for the art of cooking, but first and foremost she has a love for giving people a sense of family and comfort in this sometimes cold and rainy city.
Hence, the birth of DayoSense. It started as a place on Beacon Hill where you can get a great warm meal once a week and join a "family" of over 30 people. Now it has grown to serve thousands of comfort meals for all types of events big and small.

My lifelong love of cooking brought me to start a personal chef service. Since I have long been passionate about great food, I have always enjoyed preparing exceptional meals. Although I have an extensive repertoire of recipes, what I value most is preparing dishes that appeal to my clients’ personal tastes.
I spent over 20 years in corporate america, human resources, and administrative management, I am finally doing what I love most…cooking delicious healthy meals!
Eating healthy is a lifestyle, and I specialize in cooking healthy and nutritious meals that consist of whole foods that gives your body the nutrients it needs. I also prepare Anti-Cancer, Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Raw Food (uncooked) meals.
Chef Danie took the South Florida culinary world by storm and is now ready for the world. The South Florida native is influenced not only by her background of Haitian and Dominican origins, “Hispanolian” but the eclectic environment that makes Miami a beautiful melting pot.
Raised in a house of talented bakers and cooks, it was as natural as breathing to attend culinary school. As one of the best student chefs in high school, Chef Danie pursued her studies at the world renowned Le Cordon Bleu.
She worked at many great restaurants and gained a reputation for infusing her dishes with not only great flavors but the influences of her parents homeland. Chef Danie knew that she wanted a more personal and hands on experience with clients.
She soon started catering events and working as a private chef. Her clients not only want the amazing dinner party, picnics at the park, dinner date or even breakfast in bed; they love Chef Danie’s food because you can taste the passion and love she infuses into every creation.
Her love and passion for cooking has allowed her to work with such terrific clients such as Drake, Antonio Banderas, Sean “Diddy” Combs,Pharell Williams, Miami Heat 2X NBA Champ Mario Chalmers, NFL Star Nolan Carroll, Hip Hop artist Pitbull, Shad Moss and many more.

Was born and raised in Hartford, CT. He grew up with a family that loved to cook, and inspired not only by his grandmother but the “professionals” in the family – three executive chefs and a pastry chef. As if this was not enough he also gained inspiration from the founders of television chefs like Julia Child’s French cuisine, her love for food and creative presentation. He marveled at Chef Paul Prudhomme’s, down home cooking and savory dishes. He loved Chef Yin’s knife skills and nonstop sense of humor. He would watch the master chef’s on television and begin to implement his plan at a young age.
Ron engrossed himself in programs that focused on countless cooking styles and was now ready to spend time with the professionals in the family. Practical training was essential and these were the steps needed to complete his vision. There he learned the essentials of being a Chef; professionalism, how to wear a Chef’s coat, tying a neckerchief, and knife skills. There he saw a “real” kitchen and visualized himself, playing with various herbs and spices that now surrounded him.
At only fifteen, with the assistance of an aunt he made his first Wedding Cake. Although the family supported his efforts, he says laughing, that the cake tasted great but was truly remedial in presentation.
Ron graduated high school and moved to Atlanta, GA where he received his culinary education. While in school Ron wasn’t able to travel much, but with food he journeyed to every area of the world. He worked in the foodservice industry in many different capacities and venue scales- hotels, restaurants and convention centers/ sports arena. Chef Ron became well rounded and knew that he was now ready to expand and to educate people how to explore with food.
Chef Ron has catered to many notables, currently former President Carter and Family. He has also had the chance to cook for the late Johnnie Cochran, Luther Vandross, and many more.
Chef Ron is very adamant about staying active in the community. He believes that as culinarians as well as humanitarians we should do our part to conserve our environment by contributing and participating in ecofriendly and sustainable ideas.
